atta ladoo recipe | atta besasn ladoo | wheat laddu recipe with step by step photo and video recipe. sweet recipes are very essential within indian diaspora, especially during festival time. these are generally made with a huge amount of sugar, ghee and other unhealthy ingredients. but there are quite a few healthy sweets and atta ladoo recipe is one such recipe made with minimal ingredients.
in this recipe, i have used the combination of wheat and besan flour which gives an attractive colour and texture to this recipe. but i wanted to share the ladoo recipe with just wheat flour or atta. but maybe next time. the reason i chose the former as it is much better in terms of taste and texture. in addition, it also makes it very similar to other indian popular ladoo recipes especially like besan or plain flour one. moreover adding besan actually helps to shape these atta laddu’s more easily as it is sticky. hence i would recommend adding it but it is not mandatory.
the atta ladoo recipe is extremely simple to prepare, yet some tips and suggestions to make it more perfect. firstly, i have roasted the wheat and besan flour with ghee so that it is moist and flavoured. however, do not overdo it and be cautious so that it does not change its colour to dark. secondly, shape these ladoos when it is slightly warm and it would not be easy to shape it when it is cold. so if it turns out to be cold, microwave it for 45 secs and start shaping. lastly, the shelf life of these laddu’s improves significantly if stored in an airtight container.

Ingredients
- ½ cup ghee / clarified butter
- 1 cup besan / gram flour
- 1 cup wheat flour / atta
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 5 cashew / kaju, chopped
- ¼ tsp cardamom powder
- 5 almonds / badam, chopped
Instructions
firstly, in a large kadai heat½ cup ghee.
add1 cup besan and 1 cup wheat flour.
roast on medium flame until the flour is combined well.
now keep the flame on low and roast on low flame.
mash the flour to break any lumps if present.
continue to roast for 25 minutes, or until the mixture turns aromatic and golden brown.
transfer to the bowl and allow to cool slightly.
now add1 cup powdered sugar, 5 cashew and ¼ tsp cardamom powder.
mix well making sure the sugar is combined well with mixture. do not over mix as the sugar and ghee melt.
start to prepare small ball sized balls.
finally, atta besan ladoorecipestays good for a week when refrigerated.

- firstly, once the mixture cools it will thicken and easy tomake ladoo.
- additionally, to prepare justwheat ladooto replacebesan with atta.
- most noteworthy, do not add sugar when the mixture paste is hot as it melts down the sugar and turns watery paste.
- finally, increase the amount of sugar to 1¼cup if you are looking for a very sweetatta besan ladoo.
