The guest, feeling disrespected, reached out to John Heald, Carnival's brand ambassador. Heald, in his response, highlighted the discomfort comedians face when performing adult material to a mixed audience. He firmly stated that these are Carnival's rules and that guests should respect and adhere to them.
And this is the part most people miss... The comedy shows are not just about the R-rating. These shows are highly popular, and the venues often have a cozy, intimate setting, adding to the unique experience. Allowing children and teens to attend would take away seating from adults, defeating the purpose of an adults-only event.
