When Virat Kohli ran Henry Nicholls out, it looked like New Zealand were in a spot of bother. Tom Latham was taking his time to settle down as well.

However, Taylor and Nicholls have torn apart the Indian bowling attack between overs 30 and 40. 117 runs came in the said period. Boundaries were flowing as the two batsmen were middling everything.

22 runs came from the 40th over bowled by Shardul Thakur! India need New Zealand to choke if they are to get a win here.

This is turning out to be a carnage. 61 runs in the last 5 overs for New Zealand. Ross Taylor and Tom Latham are hitting boundaries at will.

Ravindra Jadeja bowled 9 good overs but he was taken to the cleaners in the final over. 15 runs from it.

Still no signs of Kedar Jadhav. He hasn't bowled for India in the recent past.

New Zealand's skipper Tom Latham has walked out to the middle after that stunning run out of Henry Nicholls. The opener was looking set to get a big total but he was run out by Virat Kohli who flew from short cover to disturb the woodwork.

Latham was in early trouble in that Kuldeep Yadav over. He was completely beaten by a wrong'un.

Ross Taylor now holds the key for New Zealand. He needs to keep the scoreboard moving as Latham would need time to settle down.

New Zealand need 184 runs from the 22 overs which remain in this innings. Not a big task if they manage to keep wickets in hand. But if the T20I series and the Super Over drama is anything to go by, a New Zealand chase is not over till it is.

This partnership between Nicholls and Taylor is now worth 52 runs and increasingly looking threatening for India. Even though they still have a lot of runs in the bank, India will gladly like to see the back of either of these 2 set batsmen as soon as possible
