I don't know what you mean by "global averages". Could you elaborate? I haven't competed in any actual competitions yet.

yes those are my overall, however my 3x3 average is off of 250 solves because I have gotten a lot faster, and I was at 1000 on my first csTimer set, so I exported those and started a new session.

my ao1000 was around 25 seconds. I am currently trying a new 4x4 method that I think could help me transition to getting faster times.
Step 1: Build centers
Step 2: Build cross
Step 3: Make the first 3 pairs with 3-2-3 method
Step 4: Finish pairing
Step 5: Solve like 3x3
I feel that this is an improvement over reduction without learning the entirety of Yau

My recommendation is to start with making your two opposite centers, and then make 1 cross edge, and preserve it for the next 4 centers, once you're comfortable with that, move to 2 cross edges, and then 3. You can work on learning 3-2-3 edge pairing at the same time. The transition to yau should make it easier than just switching.

I actually really like this method. After doing the first 3 edges, I only have a few more edges to pair, which I can pair really easy.

I have tried a couple different methods to make learning Yau easier, but for right now I really like this method.

Because I am too lazy to learn all of Yau. Plus I have a ton of schoolwork on top of that.

Same here. Sure, however I'm not too focused on 3x3. more on 2x2 and 4x4 at the moment.

Learn PLL first, as it's more important than OLL.

I plan to learn a few OLL cases and then move to PLL. I learned a few PLL so I started learning a couple OLL
